Going against the grain? Slim model Rosie Huntington-Whitely takes away a big bag of BREAD

Models usually shun fattening, high carb foods. But perhaps Rosie Huntington-Whitely is ditching her diet for the holidays.

The British model and actress was spotted toting take away from Joan's on Third today Los Angeles, including a huge bag of bread.

Looking stylish in skinny jeans, a leather jacket and patterned scarf, the 25-year-old rushed inside the trendy restaurant to pick up her Christmas eve meal.


Perhaps the food is also for her movie star boyfriend, Jason Statham.

Earlier this week, the couple went on a shopping run together at a Bristol Farms market in West Hollywood and left with a cart full of grocery bags.

The glamorous twosome have been dating since 2010 and currently live together in Southern California.

With their equally hectic work schedules, the couple savour their time together.

According to Mail On Sunday reporter Katie Nicholl, Transformers star Rosie was left home alone for much of the summer.

Statham had been spending time in Florida re-shooting love scenes with Jennifer Lopez for their forthcoming film Parker, and Rosie was back at their Beverly Hills home after working in London.

Devon-born Rosie recently splashed out on a New York pad to share with her beau.

But she recently confessed to being homesick, saying: ‘I miss England, especially the culture and camaraderie.’

However, her spokesman said: ‘Rosie and Jason’s careers are super-successful and so they are apart sometimes, but she isn’t lonely and neither is her relationship on the rocks.’

Betty, of course, is the ABC character America Ferrera made famous for her frizzy hair, horrible wardrobe and ever-present braces.

'I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15,' she confides in the new issue of America's Harper's Bazaar magazine.

She may have been a self-proclaimed ugly duckling once, but things have obviously turned around for the Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon star.

Not only does she model lingerie for retail giant Victoria's Secret, but she has modelled for Prada and Burberry.

She has also been named the sexiest woman in the world by men's magazines like Maxim and FHM.

As of July 2011, she ranks No. 15 on 'The Money Girls' list and No. 3 on the Top 20 Sexiest Models list at Models.com.

The leggy beauty also happens to be dating one of the world's sexiest men, British action star Jason Statham.

Additionally, the blonde bombshell was also chosen by director Michael Bay to play the highly coveted part of Megan Fox's replacement in his Transformers films.

She tells Harper's that she's being extremely careful in making the transition from supermodel to Hollywood starlet.

She says: 'It's interesting coming from modelling, where women rule the industry, into one where there are so few great female parts and the competition is so much higher.'

Her boyfriend, millionaire financier Ty Comfort, 45, is transforming popular London nightclub Cuckoo into a haunted house for her Halloween-themed ‘Ghostest With The Mostest’ bash.

‘As well as splashing out on cases of Cristal champagne, Ty has hand-picked the 500 guests,’ a source said.

‘He’s also flying in performers from the United States. The romance is serious – Caprice really hopes he is the one.’

I caught up with Laura, 39, over cocktails at the Quintessentially Awards and she couldn’t hide her excitement.

‘It’s a great opportunity and I’m so delighted.’ she said.

‘I’m also Cultural Ambassador now for the British Fashion Council.’

The mother of two added: ‘I do still model from time to time as well but my priority these days is my children.’

She rose to fame as a Victoria’s Secret model whose breathtaking curves were the object of lust worldwide.

But Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked somewhat deflated as she turned up for the Tom Ford dinner last night.

The 24-year-old’s once fulsome figure was a shadow of its former self.


With her long hair pulled into a chic ballerina bun Rosie’s thin neck and jutting collar bones were fully exposed as she arrived at 45 Park Lane hotel for the meal.

The model’s generous curves were gone, her fitted velvet dress showing off her modest chest and flat bottom.

Her narrow hips and long thin legs were more akin to those of Alexa Chung than an underwear model.

She paired her black velvet dress with a furry black clutch and chandelier earrings for a minimalist look appropriate to the designer.

Tom Ford is known for his preference for sexy clean lines and cutting edge Hollywood glamour.

Rosie's weight loss may spark concern given her recent signing as the face of the Marks & Spencer Autograph collection.

Deflated: The model's once generous curves were gone, leaving narrow hips and a flat bottom


The brand has been criticised for overlooking fuller-figured women in their advertising campaigns.

However, her altered appearance doesn't appear to have had an adverse affect on the model's career so far, as she has also become the 'body' behind the new Burberry Body fragrance, which launched earlier this month.

Fellow Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel came under fire earlier this year due to her sudden weight loss.

Fresh faced: Despite her thin appearance the model didn't look too worse for wear considering she'd been partying at hot spot The Box the previous night


She was in danger of being dropped by the chain as her disturbingly thin frame was at odds with the brand's fit, sexy ethos.

Thankfully Rosie doesn't appear to have quite reached that point.

Though you wouldn't guess it from her fresh-faced appearance the Transformers star has been burning the candle at both ends, as she was spotted out at the Soho club The Box on Saturday night.

And days beforehand, Ms. Huntington-Whiteley was across the pond in New York City for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
